Om Factory's Kids Aerial Act Creation series is
offered twice annually and is open to kids enrolled in
any Performance & Competition programs.

Om Factory's Kids Aerial Summer Camp is available for

one-week sessions during July & August culminating with

a final recital. Kids aged 6 - 14 of all levels are welcome!

Spring 2020 Kids' Aerial Act Creation Series registration is currently CLOSED.

Om Factory's popular Kids Aerial Act Creation series is offered twice annually (Winter & Spring)

and is open to kids aerial students enrolled in any Om Factory Performance & Competition programs.

Kids will practice aerial skills, create their own act, and finally perform it for friends & family!

program overview

Om Factory's Kids Aerial Act Creation Series challenges budding acrobats to take skills from their aerial practice and combine them with elements of dance, theatre & creative movement to produce their very own act — and then perform it for family & friends at the final recital! This workshop series meets on four to five days, culminating with a performance at Om Factory’s Semi-Annual Kids Aerial Recital. Registered students must be available for ALL sessions as well as the dress rehearsal.

Final Performance & Dress Rehearsal (December 15, 2019)

Each semester's performance has a theme. Winter 2019's will be “Under the Sea." Past theme's have included, “Beetles, Bugs & Flies, Oh My!,” and “Beetles, Bugs & Flies, Oh My!” Kiddos use their creative circus crawls to move from the ground to the sky — come see what all the BUZZ is about!

Emphasis on the 5 Cs of Circus Creation:

Cooperation, Communication, Conditioning, Choreography & Costumes!

Prep-work is as easy as 1-2-3!

1. Select an apparatus

2. Choose a song

3. Brainstorm character & costume ideas

Then dream up anything their imaginations wish to explore!

Available Apparatuses

Silks, Lyra, Rope, Cloud Swing, Hammock, or Trapeze

Prerequisites (ages 6 - 14):

• Minimum FIVE Kids Aerial Circus, Dance, or Yoga classes

• Ability to invert on Aerial Apparatus

• Positive Attitude!!

Liz and special guest instructors will introduce your child to the wonderful world of aerial circus, acrobatics, and teamwork as they build solo and group acts. Daily classes include themed cirque-style classes, creative movement, and activities centered around aerial acrobatics.

Kids can be enrolled in one or both weeks for each session!

Lyra & trapeze: Straddle inversions, pullover to roll to sit.

Silks: Demonstrate ability to climb to top of fabric on both sides & create foot-locks in the air; knowledge of hip key & same side inversion climb.

MEET our kids' program director

Enrolling in OFSY's Aerial Yoga Teacher Training remains the second best decision of Liz’s life... the first of course, was to run away and join the circus.

Working with Cirque du Soleil and their outreach program Cirque du Monde brought Liz all over the world and eventually landed her at Om Factory in New York where Liz teaches aerial yoga, dance, fitness & Lyra to both children and adults.

Teaching aerial acrobatics to children inspired her to participate in the

development of Om Factory’s Kids' Aerial Yoga Program.
